A sister, Jean, and brothers, Robert II and Steve, predeceased him. A Personal Note from Cynthia: Richard came into my life when I was 8 years old as my step-father when he married my mother. He "was my father" in every sense of the word. He was the best dad in the whole world. Despite the challenges he had with his health from diabetes, he always remained happy and positive. He was the nicest and kindest human being I have ever known. He never wanted anything for himself, always eager to help and give to others including strangers. He was the best grandfather to my children Lauren and Jonathan, he went out of his way to do projects and activities with them and to visit them. His kind and giving nature and presence in this world will be sorely missed. He made a difference in my life as my step-father. I am proud to have had him as my father and a better person for having known him. I will miss him dearly. Cynthia Binns Memorial Service... Memorial services will be announced at a later time.
