Richard S. "Doc" Bair

Remembering "Doc" with Love... Richard S. "Doc" Bair, 83, 235 Indiandale Road , Reinholds, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at 12:40 AM in Maple Farms Nursing Center , Akron , where he was a guest since March 27. Born in Adamstown, a son of the late William L. and Katie L. (Snyder) Bair, Sr., he was the husband of Jean E. (Texter) Bair for 54 years. They would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 28th. An army veteran of World War II and life member of Adamstown VFW, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed car races. Retiring in 1986, he was employed for 38 years by Hope Hosiery Mill, Adamstown. Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother, Willard J., Sr., husband of Ruth (Miller) Bair, Denver , PA ; 3 sisters, Marcella S. Steffy, a resident of Denver Nursing Home, Stevens, PA; K. Lenora Adams, Adamstown, PA; and Peggy E., wife of Leon Texter, Denver, PA. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Selmer S. Bair and William L. Bair, Jr. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown with The Rev. Douglas W. O'Brien officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery , Adamstown. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
