We'll remember robert... Robert E. Lorah, 69, of 217 Terrace Gardens, Manheim, Lancaster County, formerly of Denver, Lancaster County, died Friday at 6:25 PM at Pleasant View Retirement Community where he resided since March 16. Born in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Ray S. and Edith W. (Zerbe) Lorah, and was the husband of Elva R. (Renninger) Lorah for 50 years on January 12th. Last working in 1999, he was employed in the meat department of Weaver's Markets, Adamstown, and had previously worked in the meat department at Martin's Country Market, Ephrata. Earlier he worked for J. Roy Wise Construction, Bowmansville, and Lanchester Land Fill, Honeybrook. He had also assisting in running the family farm for many years. Lorah was a collector of "International" Pickup Trucks and other antiquities, an avid hunter and loved gardening. He volunteered with many of the Fivepointville Fire Company fund raising activities over the years. Surviving in addition to his wife, are 2 daughters, Joan D. (Lorah), married to Gerald W. Martin, Lebanon, PA; and Barbara A. (Lorah) Lehman, Brickerville, PA; 2 grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Alton R., married to Gail (Sweigart) Lorah, Denver, PA; and Douglas L., married to Cynthia L. (Leaman) Lorah, Bowmansville, PA. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Richard G. and Eugene R. Lorah, and a brother, Samuel P. Lorah. Viewing Funeral... Robert's viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our funeral home. Funeral services will be from our parlor on Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Kelly Sensenig officiating. The burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, PA.The family asks that contributions in Robert's memory be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 201, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
