Robert W. Martin, age 83, of Denver, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, formerly of Phoenixville, Montgomery County, died Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 9:38 PM in Hershey Medical Center, Dauphin County. Born in Waverly, Tioga County, New York, a son of the late Ramon and Shirley (Palmer) Martin, he was married 48 years to Beverly J. (Noltee) Martin. Bob was a Korean War Army veteran, a Mason, andan aerospace industrial engineer with General Electric, King of Prussia. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, an avid outdoorsman and a true handyman. Also surviving: are sons, Joel R. Martin, Boyertown; Ed Sechrist, Gilbertsville; Kirk D. Martin, Middle River, Maryland; David J. Sechrist, Spring City; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sally Applehans, Denver, Colorado. A daughter, Wanda L. Martin, and brother, Jerry Martin, predeceased him. A Memorial Celebration of Bob's Lifewill be held Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 1 PM from Peace United Church of Christ, 37 E. Swartzville Rd., Denver, PA 17517, with The Rev. William E. Hoch officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Private inurnment will be in Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville.
