Russell L. Petticoffer, 89, of Ephrata, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at the Keystone Villa of Ephrata. He was born in Lititz to the late Edgar and Frances (Keener) Petticoffer and was the husband of the late Ruby J. Petticoffer, with whom he shared more than 61 years of marriage.
Russell was a 1953 graduate of Lititz, formerly Warwick, High School, after which he served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was employed in the Purchasing Department of Walter W. Moyer Co. in Ephrata, PA, and later as a Buyer for Pennsylvania Scale Co., in Leola, PA, retiring after 31 years of service. He was an active member of the Grace E.C. Church in Ephrata. Russell’s love of music resulted in his singing with various local choirs.
Russell is survived by his son, Stephen E. Petticoffer of Ephrata; daughter, Kelli S. (Donald Dowling) Petticoffer of Elizabethtown; grandchild, Austin (Donna) Keith; and one great-grandchild, Brooks Keith.
In addition to his wife and parents, Russell is preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Weaver and brothers, Harold and Clyde Petticoffer.
A visitation will take place Friday, March 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Gravenor Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 100 W. Main Street, Ephrata, PA 17522. Russell’s final resting place will be in Mohler’s Brethren Cemetery in Ephrata.
