Ruth Anna Good

Ruth Anna (Witmer) Good, age 97, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, died Monday, February 8, 2016, at 2:09 PM in Willow Valley Retirement Community, Willow Street, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Born in Goodville, Lancaster Countyh, a daughter of the late John Paul and Anna (Souder) Witmer, her husband, Dr. Warren R. Good, died January 13, 2002. Ruth was a self-taught artist and crafter with many handmade quilts, braided rugs, lampshades, ornaments, dried flower pictures, and refinished furniture to her credit. Keeping her mind sharp and a competitive spirit throughout her life, Ruth loved games puzzles. During her last two years of failing health and vision she still created keepsakes of colored marker stained-glass imitations for friends and family. Surviving are her daughters, Rena H., wife of Stephen R. Winter, Oxford, PA,and Linda W. Good, married to William H.Elfring, Philadelphia, PA; her grandchildren, Erik, Kristina and Jason Winter Ryan Pumpian; and her great-grandchildren, Dylan Cole Pumpian and Lyla Winter. Siblings, Edith Martin and Roy Witmer, also predeceased her.A Memorial Celebration of Ruth's Life will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 10:30 AM from Lakes Manor Auditorium, 300 Willow Valley Lakes Dr., Willow Street, PA 17584. The family will greet friends following the service.
