Remembering Sara with Love... Sara M. Nevling, 80, formerly of Stevens, Lancaster County, PA, died Sunday, August 3, 2008, at 12:13 PM in Ephrata Manor, where she resided since September 2004. Born in Portage , Cambria County , she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Mackoviak) Holliday, and was the wife of Robert E. Nevling for 52 years. Sara was a member and Sunday school teacher of Trinity United Methodist Church , Denver . A 1945 graduate of Portage Township High School , she received her B.S. in Business Education in 1949 from the University of Pittsburgh . She was a business education teacher for 12 years at Portage High School . Past president of the Denver Woman's Club, she had a passion for music and reading, especially poetry and English literature, and had a deep relationship with God, nature and her loving family. Also surviving are daughters, Mary Jo Weaver, Stevens, PA; and Ruth A. Nevling, Mechanicsburg, PA; sons, Thomas G., husband of Michelle (Landis) Nevling, Lancaster, PA; and Ed R. Nevling, Reamstown, PA; 4 grandchildren, James Weaver, Sara, Reed and Benjamin Nevling; sister, Mary Lou, wife of George Garber, Vienna, VA; and brother, David, husband of Nancy Holliday, Gallitzin, PA. She was predeceased by a son, James B. Nevling in 1986, and brothers, Joseph and Lawrence Holliday. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008, at 10:00 AM in Trinity United Methodist Church, 420 Main Street, Denver, PA 17517, with The Rev. C. Michael Roney officiating. Burial will follow in Ream-Redding Cemetery , Reamstown , PA. Viewings will be held from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and at the church Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
