Scott D. Novik

Scott D. Novik, age 62, of Alleghenyville, Brecknock Township,Mohnton, Berks County, Pennsylvania,died Monday, June 19, 2017, at 5:32 AM in Reading Hospital Medical Center emergency room. Born in West Reading, Berks County, a son of the late Michael and Anna M. (Hilbush) Novik, he was married to Cindy L. (Messer) Novik for 31 years. A 1973 Governor Mifflin High Schoolgraduate he worked for his family business, Gay-Fad Nursery, Mohnton, and was vice-president part owner of Landis Transportation, Reading. Scott was a member of Allegheny United Church of Christ, Alleghenyville; loved hunting, fishing, working on cars and snow mobiling. He was crew chief with Funny Cars drag racing and cherished family times. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Scott M., married to Ashley (Macosch) Novik; and Cory L. Novik, both of Mohnton; grandchildren, Chase Lydon; brothers, Michael R. Novik, partnered with Joe Czarnecki, Sodus Point, NY; Jeffrey S., married to Joann (Barracca) Novik, Millsboro, DE.
