Thomas F. Schmolze

Remembering Tom with Love... Thomas F. Schmolze, aged 93, formerly of Stevens, Lancaster County, and Ashland , Schuylkill County, died Saturday, February 7, 2009, at 4:25 PM in Cedar Haven, Lebanon . Born in Germantown , Schuylkill County , he was a son of the late Clarence Edwin and Margaret Anna (Price) Schmolze. His first wife Emma I. (Maurer) Schmolze, died February 9, 1983; and his second wife, Grace L. (Stehr) Heim Schmolze, died October 12, 2007. Tom was a member of St. Paul 's Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown, and known as a talented carpenter and handyman. A 1933 Conyngham High School graduate, he worked for Lehigh Valley - East Bear Ridge Coal Company and for J. H. Deiter Sons, both of Schuylkill County . Suriving are daughters, Shirley Ann (Joseph W.) Bean, Winfield , IL ; and Linda Lee (Frederick P.) Solesky , Lebanon ; 6 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; Step-children, Phyllis L. (Lance R.) Steierwald, Akron ; and Rev. Neil S. (Sandra Eggleston) Heim, Lima , Peru ; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Viewing, Funeral and Committal Service... A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM with a funeral service beginning at 7:30 PM. The Rev. Kirk R. Marks and The Rev. LeRoy Heller will officiate in Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre of Reamstown. Graveside committal services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 11:00 AM in Christ Church Cemetery, Ashland (Fountain Springs), Schuylkill County, PA.
