Timothy E. Ansel, 71, of Lancaster is walking with the Lord on streets of gold after 13 years as a double amputee fighting multiple sclerosis. Tim passed away on Friday, May 11 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was a son of the late Warren S. Elizabeth (Young) Ansel and the husband of 48 years to Linda (Musser) Ansel. Tim was proud to serve in the U.S. Army. He was a locksmith and the founder of Ansel Lock Key, now operated by his son. He served his community for several years as a former Lancaster City firefighter. Tim enjoyed collecting and had a love for gospel music. In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by his son, Joel T. Ansel (Kathryn) of Lancaster; his daughter, Laura J. Chandler (Shaun) of East Petersburg; four grandchildren: Reagan, Sophia, Carolyn Lily Ansel; and five siblings: Thomas (Nina) Ansel, Diane Fichthorn, Joanne MacMurray, Terry (Maggie) Ansel, Ted (Nancy) Ansel. A celebration of life will be held onMay 23, 2:00 PM at Calvary Church,1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601. Visitation will be from 1 - 2:00 PM at the church. Tim's final resting place is in Riverview Cemetery, Lancaster. Good Sipler Funeral Cremation Centre, Inc., Reamstown is handling services.
