Remembering "Pickle" Bucher... Victor S. "Pickle" Bucher, 95, of 26 West Church Street, Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Thursday morning at 12:25 AM in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Lancaster County, where he resided for the past month. Born in Reamstown, he was a son of the late William H. and Alice (Steinmetz) Bucher. He was a graduate of Coyne Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chicago, and worked as a Union Electrician most of his life. He was last employed by Nolt Brothers, Ephrata, PA. Bucher was also known in northern Lancaster County for his apple orchard along Route 272 where he maintained and sold apples for many years. He had also assisted in the family farm in earlier years. Pickle was a 73 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #743, Reading, PA, a life member of the Reamstown Fire Company and a charter and life member of the Reamstown Athletic Association. Surviving is a niece, Arlene Mooney, Whiting, New Jersey, a grand-nephew and several grand-nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roy and Floyd "Dutch" Bucher. Viewing Service A viewing will be held from our parlors on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2004, from Noon to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Memories will begin at 2:00 PM with members of Victor's family and friends sharing interesting stories and tidbits of his life. Please attend and bring a tale of your own to add to this meaningful time.Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, North 4th Street, Denver, Lancaster County, PA.It is requested that flowers not be sent.
