Viola E. Henry

Remembering Viola with love... Viola E. Henry, 91, formerly of Akron, Lancaster County, died Sunday afternoon at 2:55 PM in Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, Lancaster County, where she was a resident since October 10, 1995. Born in Corn, Washita County, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Henry J. and Anna (Ratzlaff) Unruh. Her husband, Paul W. Henry, died February 12, 1975. She was a member of Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Reinholds, Lancaster County, where she had been a Sunday school teacher in the primary department, a teacher of the Good News Club, and a member of the Ladies Missionary Society. Viola was last employed for 10 years in the bakery of Akron Restaurant, Akron. Prior employment was with the former Blue Line Knitting Mill, Denver, PA and the former Colonial Knitting Mill, Mohnton, PA. She is survived by a daughter, Jeannette L., married to Stanley M. Uibel, Reamstown, Lancaster County; a son, Ronald B. Henry, Ephrata, PA; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 brothers, J. Howard, married to Grace (Kurtz) Unruh, Stevens, PA; John V., married to Carolyn (Horning) Unruh, Mohnton, PA; Benjamin R., married to June (Gerhart) Unruh, Adamstown, PA; Richard H., married to Patsy (Youndt) Unruh, Adamstown, PA; and Robert D., married to Shirley (Moore) Unruh, Denver, PA. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Luella Wingenroth, Irene Fry and Verda Byler. Viewing Services... Viola's viewing will be held from our funeral parlor on Wednesday, May 28, 2003, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and also on Thursday, May 29, 2003, from 9:30 to 10:00 AM at the church.The funeral ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, May 29th, 2003, from Emmanuel Mennonite Church, 1200 West Swartzville Road, Reinholds, PA, with The Rev. Dr. David Young officiating. Burial will follow in Steinmetz Cemetery, West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA.
