Violet F. Wanner

Remembering Violet with Love... Violet F. Wanner, 85, Robesonia, died March 23, 2011, at home under the care of Berks Visiting Nurse Hospice. Born in Landisville, a daughter of the late Paul and Amy (Leslie) Ruhl, her husband of 53 years, Leon H. Wanner, died Aug. 1, 1997. Violet dedicated her life to family. As the original stay at home mom, she was the 'go to' authority on common sense child rearing. Babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren from infancy to kindergarten was second nature with her vast experience with babies. Her skills in cooking and baking have made her recipes cherished by many. From pies, Christmas cookies, pot pie and corn pie she'll be remembered and missed, even at hunting camp. Surviving are daughters, Gloria, widow of Harold Wike, Lebanon; Nancy (Charles) Palm, Newmanstown; Mary Ann (David) Leisey, Myerstown; Sharon (Joel) Talys and Lisa Pajski (companion of Chris Pate), of Robesonia; step-son, Richard Wanner, Harrisburg; sons, Fritz (Jennie Conard), Jerry (Joyce Fix), Walter (Lori Patton); Ronald; all of Wernersville; Jeffrey (Sherri Roof), Robesonia; Larry, Adamstown; and Eric (Kathleen Weeks) Wanner, Northhampton; sisters, Patricia (Clair) Hinkle, Gaines; and Grace (Ken) Howard, Annville;grandchildren, Brenda, Michael Lori, Michelle, Stephanie, Fritz Jr., April, Victoria, Melissa, Jerry Jr., Kristy Jo, Ric, Jordan, Morgan, Jeremy, Walter Jr., Jessica, David Jr., Tara, Jeffrey Jr., Rochelle, Amanda and Justin; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lacy, Noah, Amber, Ashley, Tyler, Nicole, Shelby, Davey, Quentin, Violet, Gloria, Hunter, Faith, Kyle, Alisha, Mason, Abigail, Ella, Talon, Tatum, Garrison, Caleb, Bekah and Elie; and great-great-grandchildren, Isabella and Stephanie. She was also predeceased by a son, Leon Wanner, Jr., grandson, Joshua Leisey, and 7 siblings. Violet was loved by all and will be sadly missed by her entire family...We love you, Mom!
