Diane Burkholder

Virginia Diane Burkholder, 77, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born and raised in Ephrata, Diane was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Jacqueline (Huey) Fry, and the loving wife of Larry Burkholder.

Diane graduated from Ephrata High School in 1965, then pursued her career interest in nursing and graduating from the Lancaster School of Nursing as a licensed practical nursing in 1968. She spent most of her working career as a nurse for Dr. Lancellotti’s office in Ephrata, and later as a nurse for the Ephrata School District until she retired. Diane was a member of Ephrata Church of the Brethren and loved participating in their bell choir. In her free time, Diane enjoyed searching for treasures at yard sales, and shopping for new styles of clothing to try. She also liked to travel and take trips to the beach. Diane loved her family and friends, and her caring heart will be deeply missed.

Along with her husband, Larry, Diane is survived by three sons, Bryan Burkholder, Bradley Burkholder, and Brett Burkholder; a grandson, Quinten Burkholder; and sister, Doris Hibshman of Indiana. She is predeceased by two nephews, Christopher and Benjamin Hibshman.
