Born in Ephrata, a son of the late Walter E., Sr., and Ruth (Mellinger) Dickersheid, his wife, Shirley Y. (Leed) Dickersheid, died June 22, 2002. Walter worked for Stunzi Silk Mill, Ephrata, and Weave Corp., Denver . An avid fisherman and hunter, especially wood duck hunting, he was a champion trap shooter. His memberships include Adamstown, Millcreek , and Marion Twp. Rod & Gun Clubs; Denver Orioles; Fugarrie Hunting Camp, Lycoming Co., and Newmanstown Athletic Assoc. Surviving is a daughter, Debra A. (Curtis W.)Wolf, Denver; grandchildren, Mason Alan (Tanya Lynn Rutter) Carter, Akron; and Heather DeAnn Carter, partnered with Todd Seidel, Jr., Denver; great-grandchildren, Damion, Aston, Edwin and Warren; sisters, Dorothy Bewley and Linda Martin; and a brother, Charles "Butch" Dickersheid. He was predeceased by siblings Charlotte Shirker and Robert Dickersheid. Service Information... Funeral services will be Saturday, April 21, at 10 AM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with Chaplain Glenn A. Beard, Jr., officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery Annex, Denver .
