Walter S. Garner

Remembering Walter with Love... Walter S. Garner, age 89, of Reamstown, died Monday, December 12, 2011, in Golden Living Center , Exeter Township, Berks County, PA . Born in Warwick Township, Lancaster County, a son of the late William, Sr., and Hattie (Stark) Garner, his wife, E. Elizabeth "Libby" ( Adams ) Garner, died October 7, 2003. A member of St. Paul 's Evangelical Congregational Church, he retired in 1981 from New Holland Machine Company in the painting department. Walter loved his family and enjoyed baseball. Surviving are sons, Barry L., husband of Rita (Lausch) Garner, Reamstown; and Kenneth E.Garner, partnered with Robert R. Mikrut, Philadelphia; grandsons, Jeffrey and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Hope, Faith, Dylan and Bethany; sisters, Susan Huber, Reba Weit and Miriam Wolf, all Ephrata; and brother, Ray Garner, Lancaster. He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Jeremiah; sisters, Margie Foltz, Hattie Hoffer, Erla Showers, Grace Garner Violet Weit; and brothers, Albert, Clarence, William, Jr. and Victor Garner. Service Information... Funeral services will be Friday, December 16, 2011, at 11:00 AM from St. Paul 's E. C. Church, 46 E. Church St. , Reamstown, with The Rev. Kirk R. Marks officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM at the church. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery , Reamstown.
