Wesley "Wes" Sweigart

Wesley 'Wes' Sweigart, age 81, of Denver Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 3 am in Mt. Joy Hospice Center. Born in Reamstown, a son of the late Leroy L. and Lillian L. (Huyard) Sweigart, he was the husband of Hazel V. (Weinhold) Sweigart. They would have celebrated their 62nd anniversary on December 3rd. A member of Peace United Church of Christ, Denver, he was a self-employed general contractor and had worked earlier for M. E. Gerhart Sons. A member of Galen Hall Manor Country Clubs, Wes was an avid golfer who won several tournaments. He also enjoyed fishing. Also surviving: daughters, Elaine, wife of Barry Baker, Reinholds; Lorraine, wife of Paul Kauffman, Glen Mills; grandchildren: Briana Meckley, Adam Balmer, Andrew Kauffman Heather Houston; great-grandchildren: Brooke, Brant Finn; sister, Helen Martin, Stevens; brother, William, husband of Cheryl (Fasnacht) Sweigart, Reamstown. Brothers, Lester Clayton Sweigartpredeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 10 am from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with Chaplain Nilda Roman officiating. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville. The viewing will be Wednesday 6-8 PM and also just prior to the service Thursday.
