Remembering William Koch... William A. Koch, 88, formerly of 505 East Main Street, Ephrata, Lancaster County, and Reading, died Sunday morning at 8:20 AM in the Ephrata Community Hospital where he was a patient for 16 days. He had last resided at Audubon Villa, Lititz, since January 2003. Born in West Reading, Berks County, he was a son of the late William and Nora (Fausnacht) Koch. His wife, Ruth G. (Burd) Koch, died July 17, 1999. Retiring in 1967, he was employed for 25 years with Ephrata Manufacturing Company. He was formerly employed by Boose Aluminum Foundry, Reamstown. Koch was a model train collector, a country music fan and enjoyed visiting the Strasburg Railroad. Surviving is a daughter, Eleanor E. (Koch), married to Denton J. Coyne, Mt. Penn, PA; a son, Paul D. Koch, Sr., Temple, PA; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Delmar, married to June (Grill) Koch, Lincoln Park, Reading, PA. He was preceded in death by a son William H. Koch in 1995; 3 sisters, Pauline Fritz, who died February 22, 2004; Eva Sweitzer and Elsie Lane; and a brother, Clarence Koch. Viewing Service A viewing will be held from our parlors on Thursday, March 4, 2004, from Noon to 1:00 PM. Services celebrating William's life will begin at 1:00 PM with The Reverend John Hughes officiating. Burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township, Berks County, PA, will follow.
