William L. "Bill" Good

Remembering Bill with Love... William L. "Bill" Good, 96, of 109 North Reamstown Road , Reamstown, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 12:15 AM in Ephrata Manor. Born in Reamstown, a son of the late John S. and Minnie (Leisey) Good, his wife, Vera M. (Schonour) Good, died August 18, 1978. He was employed for 50 years by the former Eby Shoe Company, Ephrata. A weightlifter most of his life, he was America 's Strongest Man in the 1930's and, with his brothers, participated in the '32 and '36 Olympics. He enjoyed dancing and playing cards. Surviving is a daughter, Priscilla K., wife of John M. Rice, Ephrata , PA ; a son, Allan C. Good, York , PA ; grandchildren, Jennifer Romig and Teresa Swartz; great-grandchildren, Emma and Abigail Romig; and his companion, Peggy Cooke, West Wyomissing , PA. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Harry and Walter; sisters, Florence St. Clair and Mary Lehman; and half-brother, Raymond Wade. Viewing Funeral Service... Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at 11:00 AM from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown, with a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
