William Minor, Jr.

William J. Minor, Jr. of Reading, formerly of Philadelphia, died Wed., April 24, 2019 in the Southeastern Veteran Center, Spring City. He was a son of the late Irene & William Minor. William was a U.S. Marine veteran. He worked for many years at the former Luden Candy Factory. William was an avid sports fan, enjoying both football and baseball and he liked traveling to Florida. Most of all, William enjoyed his time with family. He is survived by three children: Irene Baumeister (Robert) of Denver; Christine McDonald (Brian) of Palm Coast FL; William Minor (Jen) of Reading; six grandchildren & two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert & Benwood Minor. A prayer service will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 11:30 AM in the chapel at Holy Guardian Angels Parish, 3125 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605. Visitation will be the hour prior, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM also in the parish. Memorial contributions to Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org.
