William Moad

William Moad, 92, of Denver, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, after a short illness at the TowerHealth Reading Hospital. Born in Fayette Twp, he was a son of the late William L. Moad & Sarah M. (Smith) Willow. He was the loving husband to Ruth Naomi (Trout) Moad and the day before he passed, they celebrated 69 years of marriage. William was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, holding the rank of Sergeant, he served from 1951 to 1954. He attended barbering school in Philadelphia and owned his own barber shop until he retired in 1986. In addition to his wife, William is survived by his daughter, Carol J. Moad; and two sisters, La Donna M. Shirk & Karen L. Swartz, both of Richfield, Pa. He was predeceased by his brother George R. Moad and sister Norma R. Peck. Interment will be private with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
