Zachary Petrecca

Zachary T. Petrecca, 32, of Middletown, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Kristine R. Schnader of Manheim and Al Petrecca of the Jersey Shore. Zach was a graduate of Ephrata High School, class of 2008 and earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology from Bloomsburg University in 2012. He enjoyed martial arts and was an MMA specialist. A healthy lifestyle was important to Zach, which was evident in his regular fitness and diet habits. Zach worked in the field of behavioral health, since August 2018, he was a Direct Support Professional for the Community Service Group in Hershey and prior to that he worked with autistic children in the Chester Co. Intermediate School. His genuine desire to help others also led him to be a Life Coach. He loved simple pleasures in life such as a good book to read, watching a wildlife documentary on TV, and a day on the beach. Zach loved his family and always took time to create special relationships. His genuine kindness and gentleness will forever be missed. In addition to his parents, Zach is survived by four siblings, Cole Petrecca of Ephrata, Lauren Petrecca of Lancaster, T.J. Petrecca of Ephrata, and Jonathan Petrecca of Ephrata; a grandfather, Dennis Schnader and a grandmother Ann Petrecca. He was predeceased by grandmother, Isabel (Rathman) Young and a grandfather, Alfred Petrecca Sr. A viewing will be held on Sat., Mar. 19th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and a celebration of life service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens), Pa.
